Last weekend I went to a dessert bar called Kyotofu in Hell’s Kitchen and had a dessert omakase. I’ve actually never done omakase before because in sushi bars it’s always exorbitantly expensive. But I do love desserts and it was pretty moderately priced for New York City. The dessert on the left: Kabocha (pumpkin) spice tofu pudding with sage syrup garnished with a pepita (pumpkin seed); middle: Chocolate cake with miso mochi, saikyo miso caramel, and an earl grey tuile; right: Fresh ginger crème brûlée  garnished with a yamamomo (Japanese mountain peach). The pumpkin spice panna cotta was definitely my favorite!
